Ferriday Pavillion

As part of a downtown redevelopment, the Town of Ferriday leaders wanted to enshrine this town’s music heritage before it was completely lost. An old, raised wood structure, just off from where the railroad tracks used to be, was chosen to be repaired and re-clad in a metal skin for protection from the weather. The large open-air wood deck is used for concerts, festivals, farmers’ markets, and civic assemblies and is fronted by an open-air stage and wide, open public lawn.  This project was the recipient of a 2014 AIA Rose Award.
